The Dapper Threads project

The First impression is how you walk into a room. You never know when you’re going to meet. 

Objective: To empower young men to improve their confidence and self-presentation through better dressing.

Execution Plan:

  1. Project Preparation:

   – Develop a curriculum focusing on style basics, grooming, and personal presentation.

   – Secure funding for the project through grants, donations, or partnerships.

  1. Recruitment:

   – Collaborate with local youth organizations, schools, and community centers to recruit participants.

   – Conduct outreach to target young men who have expressed interest in improving their style.

  1. Implementation:

   – Conduct workshops on fashion fundamentals, personal grooming, and dressing for different occasions.

   – Provide hands-on sessions for selecting outfits, understanding body types, and building a versatile wardrobe.

  1. Styling Sessions:

   – Partner with local stylists or fashion professionals to provide one-on-one styling sessions for participants.

   – Organize group shopping trips to help participants pick out clothes that suit their style and budget.

  1. Graduation and Support:

   – Host a final event where participants showcase their new looks.

   – Provide ongoing support and resources for participants to continue developing their personal style.

Title: Style Mentor

Qualifications:** Fashion background, experience in styling or personal shopping, understanding of youth empowerment.

– Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver the curriculum for the project.
  2. Conduct styling sessions and workshops for participants.
  3. Provide personalized guidance and support to help young men improve their dressing and confidence.
  4. Collaborate with community partners and stylists to enhance the program’s impact.
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of the project and make adjustments as needed to ensure its success.

 

Major project- conducting a clothing drive for suits and dress outfits. 

Donors will donate “dry cleaned” used suits and dress pants and shirts as well as ties, belts and dress shoes- etc.  

Kids will come in and select outfits to make sure that they are dressed for daily success.
